Dal-yah
Dal-Yah is a Palestinian artist shaped by migration, movement, and music. Born into a refugee family, she spent her childhood moving across England before settling in Canada, where her family finally found stability and community. This restless, cross-cultural upbringing continues to fuel her art.
Her music lives at the intersection of identities. Drawing from the power of Arabic classics she grew up with—Umm Kulthum, Fayrouz, Abdel Halim—as well as the conscious hip hop, soul, and jazz she discovered in her teens, Dal-Yah weaves English, Arabic, and now Spanish influences into an unmistakably hybrid sound.
Dal-Yah’s ability to move between worlds while remaining authentic shines through her collaborations with diverse artists and in her band’s dynamic live shows. By embracing displacement rather than erasing it, she has created a sound and story that resonate with anyone who’s ever felt between places yet fully alive.
